The Fleur de Lys resides in the village of Pilley in the heart of the New Forest, just outside Lymington

Serving excellent food, local ales, fine wines and spirits, the Fleur De Lys first pint being served can be traced back to 1096 and has a list of landlords beginning in 1498. This makes her the New Forests oldest pub.

As well as being a building rich in history she is also one of the prettiest, smothered under a thick thatched roof with a welcoming and traditional interior. The vast roaring inglenook fire makes this the place be midst winter and during the summer laze in the picturesque garden with a chilled glass of Rose next to the original water well.

Dogs are welcome in the bar, snug room and garden but not in the main restaurant.

Due to the small and intimate nature of dining at the Fleur it is not a suitable environment for young children in the evening.

Our wine list is handpicked from the best suppliers to compliment the menu, with a range to suit all palates and purses

Our bar has a plentiful selection real ales, lagers, softs and spirits

Our staff are the friendliest and most knowledgeable bunch

Our aim, as always is to serve you some of the best food in the area in a relaxed, easy and historic setting. We have a main menu and a bar menu

Welcome to the Fleur - The Grand Old Lady of the Forest

The area

The Georgian market town of Lymington is set on the coast in the beautiful New Forest National Park and is only a 5 minute car ride away. Famous for its sailing history, there are two large marinas filled with fishing boats and yachts, as well as two sailing clubs. The town’s narrow streets are lined with pretty period cottages and houses, and don’t miss the thriving local market held each Saturday, which dates back to the 13th century.

We are surrounded by heathland, stunning nature, forest trails, ancient woodlands and native ponies. The opportunities for outdoor activities are abundant and there are many places of interest to visit including; Exbury Gardens, Bucklers Hard, Hurst Castle, Beaulieu National Motor Museum, to name just a few. The Isle of Wight is also a delightful day out and just a short ferry ride away.
